It is important to sign up for the LSAT as early as possible. As soon as you know when you are going to take the LSAT, you should visit LSAC’s registration page, and sign up for your preferred test center.
You can usually register for the LSAT up to 10-12 months in advance. Many popular LSAT testing locations can fill up months in advance, so you are best advised to sign up as soon as possible to ensure that you are able to take the LSAT at the testing center of your choice, on the date of your choice.
If you happen to change your mind, LSAC allows you to change your test date or test center for a fee. It is better to pay the LSAT registration change fee than miss out on an exam date because you didn’t sign up soon enough.
